Managing Quantity Surveyor - Birmingham\n\nDaniel Owen is looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join the new regional office of a growing construction company specialising in commercial, fit-out, refurbishment and build projects. With a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and efficiency, they deliver projects that meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.\n\nLocation: Birmingham City Centre\n\nPosition: Managing Quantity Surveyor\n\nSalary: £90,000 -£95,000 per annum + Car allowance + package\n\nContract Type: Permanent\n\nAvailability: This role is immediately available and open to 3-month notices\n\nRole Overview:\n\nAs a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee the commercial and financial management of varied construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring cost efficiency, contract compliance, and commercial success while leading a team of Quantity Surveyors.
This role is key to driving profitability, managing risks, and maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead the commercial team and oversee all aspects of quantity surveying.\nManage budgets, costs, and financial forecasting for projects.\nEnsure compliance with contractual and legal obligations.\nLead procurement and tendering processes.\nDevelop strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.\nOversee valuations, variations, and final accounts.\nProvide strategic commercial advice to senior management.\nEnsure projects are delivered within budget and on time.\nImplement risk management strategies to mitigate financial exposure. \n\nRequirements:\n\nDegree in Quantity Surveying or a related field\nProven experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager in the construction industry.\nExperience of using COINS is a necessity\nExperience overseeing multiple, varied projects at one time. \n\nHow to apply:\n\nIf you are an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic company, we want to hear from you!
