In this exciting role as Sales Trading & Performance Analyst you'll be responsible for the data and insights for our TMC and Consumer channels globally. This data and insights span all timeframes - daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually. You will complement our new business, corporate sales development as well as our trading and performance teams.
Day to day
* Using critical thinking and hands-on analytics skills to break down complex business problems and generate insights to help drive decision making.
* Supporting the identification of opportunities for growth and reasons for the decline of travel spending, communicating this to respective teams effectively and devising mitigation techniques.
* Spotting POS and channel trends efficiently and effectively to deploy necessary relevant action/s in a swift and timely manner.
* Build PowerBI reports using Databricks and setting up relevant automation to respective parties depicting areas of attention, slicing the data where needed to business requirements.
* Using Python/R packages to optimal business use and supporting business wide data initiatives.
* Crafting innovative data solutions using "out of the box" approaches, techniques, and tools and presenting to stakeholders through engaging PowerPoint presentations depicting trends.
* Develop and maintain coding scripts and automation tools to streamline workflows and increase productivity.
About you
Do you have airline industry knowledge and the ability to make high-impact decisions based on quantitative and qualitative factors? Do you have a strong eye for business, alongside strong organisational & communicational skills? Then this could be the role for you!
In addition to the above, we're looking for the following:
* Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Math, Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other quantitative field.
* SQL / PowerBI / Databricks / Azure Data Factory / Advanced++ Excel / PowerPoint / MS Teams / Power Apps desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and impact at all levels whilst managing multiple priorities with varying timelines.
* Experience in data analysis and dashboard development, preferably within the airline or travel industry. Adept at interpreting MI to identify trends and identify / implement actions to address opportunities.
* Applied knowledge in Sales, Airfares, Revenue and Inventory Management, Alliance partnerships and reward programs is desirable.
* Confident presenting to senior management and external organisations.
* A proven track record of delivery through collaboration in a revenue or operations-focused role.
* Familiarity with data programming strongly desirable (R, Python) and using with Databricks. Proficiency in developing automation scripts, workflows, and tools using Python libraries and frameworks.
* Ability to collaborate and engage with others - building proactive working relationships with colleagues, key partners, and other stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and strategic thinker with the ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts in a clear, precise and actionable manner.
