Maths and Literacy Support Bridgend CF32 Pay £12.90 per hour Part time 15 hours per week We are working with a local primary school who are looking for members of staff to join the team and support pupils in maths, reading and writing sessions throughout the week. The school have dedicated sessions through the week that pupils will attend in a small group or in a 1-to-1 basis to work on additional literacy and maths tasks to help the pupils reach a similar level to peers. The sessions run from Monday to Friday and regularly run from 9am-1pm, so you will need to be available in these times, the school like having people who can do all 5 days as it helps to build rapport with the pupils and helps them to improve. You will need a basic level of literacy and maths as you will be assisting from Reception class up too Year 6 so a knowledge of what you’re helping to learn is necessary. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping pupils improve and grow within education as well as experience with children and young people in some capacity. Requirements and qualifications Enhanced DBS Registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) (We can assist your application) Has relevant experience either personal or professional to the Education sector.
