Job Description An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Fabrication Supervisor to join my clients manufacturing team based at in Bury. The successful candidate will take on a leadership role, overseeing the efficient and safe operation of all plant activities within the fabrication department. This role requires a strong background in fabrication and welding, particularly within a Structural Steelwork manufacturing environment, coupled with excellent leadership and people management skills. Great 4 Day Shift Pattern - Monday - Thursday 7.00am - 4.45pm Competitive Pay Rate £19.88ph - £38249 Basic per annum Key Responsibilities of the Fabrication Supervisor Team Leadership : The Fabrication Supervisor will be responsible for leading, managing, and motivating the fabrication team, ensuring all manufacturing activities on-site are executed efficiently and safely. Safety Management : The role involves ensuring that all fabrication tasks are thoroughly assessed for risk and that safe systems of work are established and adhered to in compliance with the company's Health and Safety policies. Operational Oversight : The Supervisor will oversee the availability and efficient use of plant, materials, and equipment to meet the operational demands of the fabrication team. Training and Development : The successful candidate will ensure that all personnel, including new starters and apprentices, receive adequate training to achieve competence in their roles, maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. Compliance and Documentation : The role requires ensuring that all necessary documentation, including Permits to Work and other safety-related paperwork, is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Communication : Regular communication with Production Management, foremen, and operational staff will be a key aspect of the role, ensuring that all parties are informed of progress and that any issues are promptly addressed. Administrative Duties : The Fabrication Supervisor will ensure the accurate and timely completion of all daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork and check sheets, ensuring full compliance with company standards. Qualifications and Requirements of the Fabrication Supervisor Experience : The ideal candidate will possess a general level of education and significant experience in fabrication and welding, particularly within a Structural Steelwork manufacturing environment. Supervisory Skills : Proven ability to manage and lead a team, with practical experience in supervising people and managing production activities, is essential. Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to clearly articulate instructions and build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation. Attention to Detail : A strong focus on detail and accuracy is essential, particularly in interpreting production and logistical documentation and ensuring compliance with all safety and operational protocols.
