Sewell Wallis are recruiting for a global firm in the heart of Sheffield. This business operates in 40+ countries and well over 50 offices worldwide.
Due to expansion, they're looking for an experienced Billing Assistant to join their team and work in their electronic billing department.
What will you be doing?
1. Build and maintain relationships with partners, credit controllers, revenue controllers, and clients.
2. Complete full client reviews: to include working with Matter Admin to optimise onboarding new ebilled clients and relate new ebilled clients where possible and appropriate.
3. Monitor entity ebilling set up in 3E and ARCS, gathering information by liaising with matter partners or matter execs where possible.
4. Coordinate with fee earners and finance teams to help resolve issues and deal with queries.
5. Provide accurate information to partners and finance and legal teams via regular reports.
6. Implement ways to streamline the eBilling process to help reduce turnaround time for payment.
7. Share knowledge and understanding of eBilling requirements and processes, to help ensure bills are complete, correct, compliant, and collectable.
8. Actively implement ways to help reduce the turnaround time for payment of invoices.
9. Refer client requests for onboarding to the eBilling team, providing any necessary contact information for the client and eBilling team to liaise.
10. Monitor clients with approval processes.
11. Handle queries regarding rates in 3E and approved on portal.
12. Identify and submit timekeepers to relevant portals when appropriate.
What skills are we looking for?
1. Knowledge of ebilling process.
2. Knowledge of credit control process.
3. Knowledge of a legal billing system would be beneficial.
4. Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
6. Analytical skills to resolve queries.
7. Shows flexibility in approach and good attention to detail.
8. Works to given timeframes and anticipates likely workflows.
9. Account management experience desirable but not essential.
10. CICM accreditation desirable but not essential.
11. English and Maths GCSE - C grade or higher.
