My client is seeking a Health and Safety individual who is looking to take that step! Everyday in consultancy is different, you will be speaking with different clients from varied backgrounds, gaining exposure across a range of H&S topics while improving your own CPD.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
1. Ensure that personal knowledge of health and safety best practice is continually updated.
2. Assist with all health and safety enquiries received.
3. Take ownership and responsibility for ongoing cases where health and safety advice is required from all departments across the business.
4. Provide support and advice to clients regarding information/documentation.
5. Ensure that all advice is recorded accurately against the appropriate cases and all other client and call information is correctly captured on the database.
6. Review client documentation as required.
7. Attend legal briefings and internal company training ensuring advice complies with Health Assured service standards.
8. Ensure departmental protocols are adhered to, ensuring a high quality level of service is provided at all times.
9. Maintain required productivity levels to ensure that the service provision is maintained.
10. Ensure that all requests for advice are dealt with and that the relevant service levels are achieved.
11. Attend and complete training as required.
12. Escalate any complaints regarding any advice given in line with the company complaints procedure.
13. Assist with internal health and safety matters, providing advice and case management support, including drafting letters and minute taking at meetings if required.
14. Ensure compliance and adherence to protocols in terms of maintaining ISO accreditation.
15. Attend client meetings and conference calls as required to assist/advise with any health and safety related matters.
16. Maintain confidentiality and discretion when dealing with any enquiries or sensitive information obtained as part of the role.
17. Assist with requests for articles related to health and safety topics.
18. Assist with any amendments required to any templates, documents, letters, etc. where a change in case law may impact the wording on any standard documentation.
19. Attend team meetings for all departments as required.
20. Able to work on your own initiative.
21. Ensure effective communication at all times.
22. Carry out any other tasks deemed necessary by the Management Team.
What You Bring to the Team
1. Experience in a H&S position previously.
2. Broad knowledge of health and safety law.
3. Generalist knowledge of other legal areas, such as civil, criminal, family, and housing.
4. Experience in dealing with clients at a senior management level.
5. Ability to learn, research, and interpret law quickly and effectively.
6. Ability to prioritise and work unsupervised as required.
7. Ability to work to deadlines.
8. Excellent communication and written skills.
9. MS Office knowledge and experience.
