KS1/2 Behaviour Support Assistant – Salford (M30)
Teaching Personnel are seeking a Behavioural Support Assistant for a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Salford. The incoming BSA will work one-to-one with pupils in Key Stage 1 / 2, encouraging engagement in the curriculum and school day. The successful candidate will join a committed faculty, aiming to enhance progress and improve pupils’ life chances.
The PRU’s dedicated Behaviour Support Assistants work with pupils, managing minor disruptions in line with the unit’s behaviour policies. Assistants will be expected to provide detailed and knowledgeable feedback on specific pupils, contributing to their re-integration into mainstream school.
This PRU also assesses pupils who need specialist provision, coordinating Formal Assessments to explore the needs of individual children and how these needs can be met. Therefore, candidates with experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) are highly encouraged to apply, including Psychology graduates. Senior leadership is willing to consider a confident and capable individual who can prioritize positive and trusting relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents alike.
