Job Title: Web Content Coordinator (Internal Posting Only for Kent State University Employees) Physical Location: Kent Campus - Kent, OH Salary: $52,232 - $69,008 Basic Function: Responsible for ensuring content on Kent State’s web-based platforms is strategically aligned with brand strategy and meets audience engagement goals while also providing content support and guidance to webmasters across the university. Reports to Executive Director, Digital Communications. Additional Basic Function – if applicable: Examples of Duties: Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: Serve as lead content administrator for Kent State University’s website and other digital platforms. Provide guidance to cross-divisional partners to ensure pages are maintained in compliance with visual identity and web accessibility standards as set forth in university policy, as well as in a state of marketplace competitiveness. Establish content goals and implement and a metrics plan to measure the effectiveness of content and improve for optimal audience engagement. Make strategic content recommendations based on data. Share best practices with the UCM team and the university’s 800webmasters with oversight of more than 550 websites to empower these university partners to showcase valuable, quality, measurable content in alignment with stakeholder needs. Write, edit and build the identified websites and assets. Collaborate with appropriate colleagues to translate broad web-based marketing project goals into detailed work plans with tasks, accountabilities, dependencies, milestones and deadlines. Partner with departmental and university-wide colleagues to ensure that marketing campaigns are executed as intended by setting up links and tracking codes for proper reporting in Google Analytics. Manage and/or contribute to the university’s search engine optimization efforts and assist campus partners with SEO competitor research, keyword research, SEO writing and other content optimizations, monitor, analyze, and report on key metrics to track against goals, and to identify trends, successes and opportunities for improved outcomes. Edit and disseminate university wide emails and companion posts in various platforms, as requested by variety of campus partners and in compliance with university standards. Produce and analyze Google analytic reports and LookerStudio reports to support client projects to inform various web projects. Collaborate with unit peers to support digital user experience research, including focus groups, usability testing and surveys for continuous enhancements to the university’s digital footprint. University wide outreach to support facts and figures repository and resulting web updates. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Examples of Duties – if applicable: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or relevant field and two years of relevant experience. Or a combination of education and experience equivalent to six years of experience with various web-based technology and/or content management systems.
