Responsibilities of the Teacher of Personal, Social, Health and Economic: Plan and deliver impactful PSHE lessons that address a wide range of topics, including mental health, financial literacy, relationships and personal safety. Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages open discussion and critical thinking. Inspire students to develop confidence, resilience and a positive approach to personal development. Integrate current societal and economic trends into lessons to ensure relevance and practical application. Collaborate with colleagues to design and refine a comprehensive PSHE curriculum. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support their growth. Uphold school policies and contribute to the broader ethos of the school community. Requirements of the Teacher of Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE): Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Proven experience in teaching PSHE, Citizenship, or related subjects across Key Stages. A strong understanding of the national curriculum for PSHE education. Passion for promoting students' well-being, social responsibility and life skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse learners. Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
