WHAT'S INVOLVED IN YOUR NEW ROLE?
You will be part of a highly collaborative team in Lincolnshire. As part of our Lincoln highways design drainage team, comprising a wide network of Highway Engineers both locally and across the UK, you will deliver interesting Highway projects for our Lincolnshire County Council Client.

YOUR TEAM
All our Engineers take on project responsibility from the outset invariably owning their own projects from conception to construction. Your role will be at the heart of our high performing team, using your skills and expertise to help us continue driving forward in terms of both technical quality and service efficiency. Based in the heart of the vibrant and historic city of Lincoln, working in partnership with Lincolnshire County Council (LCC), you will report to a Principal Engineer (which could be an LCC member of staff).
You will:
1. Own and lead the design process, encouraging your and wider teams to deliver the right solutions to the agreed programme and support those less experienced by technical review, mentoring and advice.
2. Manage projects to ensure coordination of multi-disciplinary inputs.
3. Manage resources effectively (including some remote resource) and efficiently to meet fluctuating workloads.
4. Work with clients and design teams to deliver compliant designs on time and within budget and meeting H&S, CDM, QA and technical review requirements.
5. Develop relationships with other LCC and WSP teams to utilise additional resources as required.
6. Agree fees and managing the commercial position on projects.
7. Attend site to gather information and supervise schemes.

Our workload is varied, one day you could be doing site investigations or an exciting new highway or flood alleviation design project liaising with various stakeholders and working with third parties and contractors.
WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE
1. You will have Chartered Engineer status or have Incorporated Engineer status of a relevant professional institution.
2. Experience of leading the design, management and inspection of highway or flood alleviation projects.
3. Knowledge of highway construction and delivery methods.
4. Knowledge of Construction Design Management 2015 and associated duties.
5. Excellent working knowledge of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) standards, methods of working & Specification for Highway Works.
