Human Resources Officer - Education and Care
Salary £31,547.33 – per annum Full Time
40 Hours per week, 52 weeks per year
This post is based at Ruskin Mill College, Nailsworth
with occasional travel across Trust sites
We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Officer to join the Trust, based at Ruskin Mill, Nailsworth to work as part of the existing Human Resources team. Providing HR advice and support as well as supporting with recruitment, vetting, absence management, communicating payroll changes and employee relations matters. With the Trust rapidly growing in size, this is an exciting time to join us and become part of our team.
The successful applicant will have strong HR administration experience. CIPD level 3 qualification is desirable but not a requirement as we prioritise direct experience. Knowledge of educational and/or care recruitment and pre-employment checks would be advantageous.
The Human Resources Officer we are looking for would:
* Understand the importance of safer recruitment, with a rigorous approach to vetting and compliance, being self-motivated in the pursuit of compliance
* Have effective knowledge of employment legislation, contracts of employment, terms and conditions, policies and procedures and HR best practice and its practical application. Be committed to empowering managers to lead on employee relations process while ensuring they stay compliant with policy and legal frameworks.
* Have experience of advising and providing support with HR casework and pre-employment vetting checks
* Appreciate that by joining a small team they need to multi-task and take responsibility for all aspects, whether it is having challenging conversations or ensuring the notes are accurate.
* Take satisfaction in completing processes and maintaining accurate data on HR systems
