Attendance Officer Walsall 28/04/2025 – 3 months initially Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm, 37 hrs/week – Hybrid Ensuring vulnerable children within the Walsall Borough are receiving the support and encouragement they need to improve their school attendance working closely with schools and families, alongside other partners, to support children and young people to ensure they have access to their full educational entitlement Undertake home visits to families, parents, carers independently and use personal judgement on regularity Work with schools to ensure that alternative educational provision fulfils statutory entitlements and is relevant to the needs, interests and aspirations of pupils disengaging from school Keep and maintain records of work done Attend meetings and reviews where necessary Requirements UK DL, access to a vehicle, business insurance Experience of working with children, young people and families within social care and education Experience of working with a range of professionals to ensure schools, parents and professionals are adhering to the EBSA model of working and identify any barriers or areas of development Have a good understanding of the statutory guidelines outlined by the Government in advice to parents and schools around Elective Home Education, Permanent Exclusion, CME, and Attendance DBS registered to the update service Recruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices. 4Recruitment Services in an equal opportunities employer.
