Student Behaviour Mentor - Newbury

Are you confident or outgoing? Do you want to act as a role model to students facing challenges in education?
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join as a Student Behaviour Mentor in January 2025. We are a specialist education school located in Newbury, supporting students aged 4-16 years old. The Student Behaviour Mentor role focuses on building trust and rapport, developing independence, and motivating students throughout their education.
Responsibilities:
1. Supporting pupils facing behaviour management challenges
2. Helping students to learn and practice healthy coping mechanisms
3. Tracking progress and implementing education plans
4. Practicing effective communication skills to resolve conflicts and emotional regulation
5. Motivating students to develop independence and engagement with learning material

Details:
1. £80 - £95 per day
2. 8am-4pm, Monday - Friday, Full Time

Key qualities of a Student Behaviour Mentor include being self-assured, having an extroverted nature, valuing trust and relationships, and having patience for those struggling!
Experience supporting children on a personal or professional level is very beneficial but not mandatory. Relevant education or previous experience is welcomed.
