About the role We currently have a new opportunity available for a permanent full-time Asset Officer to join our Permits & Inspections team. You will act as the first point of contact and liaison for all Roads Act related works, functions, and maintenance requirements within the Council Road reserve. You will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance inspections and assess the condition of Council infrastructure assets and assisting with customer enquiries. Using your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will liaise with key stakeholders for any restoration of damaged public assets and non-compliant works. Essential Criteria Civil Engineering qualification or extensive experience in a relevant field such as Construction and Maintenance Demonstrated high level of computer skills and use of computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook Demonstrated experience in road asset related inspections and effective preparation of correspondence to customers or internal departments Ability to work independently with minimal supervision together with a commitment to working in a team environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to provide clear, timely advice to all internal and external stakeholders Effectively manage customer expectations and demonstrated dispute resolution and negotiation skills General Construction Industry Induction Training Card (White Card) A current Class C Drivers Licence Salary : The salary for this position ranges from $80,913.00 - $93,661.00 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation, and will be negotiated commensurate with the skills, qualifications, and experience of the preferred applicant. Access to a Leaseback Vehicle is available with this position; however, it is not a condition of employment.
