Job Description
This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies and policies, ensuring legal compliance while enhancing business performance and managing employee relations activities.
* Assist in the development and execution of HR management strategies and policies.
* Promote best practices and compliance with employment legislation.
* Coach and advise managers on grievances, investigations, and complaints.
* Ensure adherence to legislative requirements in all HR activities.
* Manage employee relations activities within set time frames.
* Support business performance improvement through HR initiatives.
* Provide expertise in HR/ER policy and best practice.
* Handle formal complaints and conduct investigations effectively.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will possess extensive HR experience, a thorough understanding of employment laws, and exceptional stakeholder management skills.
* Tertiary qualifications in HR, legal, or business management fields
* Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act and relevant employment laws
* At least 5 years' experience in employee/workplace relations in medium to large organisations
* High proficiency in advising on HR/ER/IR policy and legislation
* Proven experience in managing formal complaints and conducting investigations
* Adaptability to change and ability to provide responsive services
* Strong work ethic, teamwork, and proactive attitude
* Superior consulting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
* Experience in a unionised blue-collar environment
* Business planning expertise and high-level communication skills
* Exceptional analytical thinking and ability to manage multiple priorities
