CAD Technician - SolidWorks Permanent Full-Time
Salary - Circa £27,000 DOE
Location - In office, Sheffield

The company is seeking a CAD Technician/Draughtsperson who is proficient in 3D CAD modelling software (such as SolidWorks) and has professional experience within a fabrication or engineering company.

Responsibilities, but are not limited to
Interpret client and engineer instructions to create CAD drawings in SolidWorks
Create basic layout drawings of buildings based on client instructions, incorporating the product range and other relevant products
Revise and modify drawings according to feedback from engineers or clients
Occasionally visit sites or locations to gather data for accurate drawings
Consult with engineers to understand design instructions and resolve any queries
Ensure drawings comply with engineering data and original design specifications
Modify existing drawings as required, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design specifications
Meet project deadlines, ensuring all drawings are completed on time
Store and organise drawings electronically, ensuring all data is accessible and up to date
Create and maintain schedules for priority drawings
Perform office-related tasks and administrative duties as neededExperiences required
Demonstrable experience using 3D CAD modelling software, such as SolidWorks or similar (Inventor, Solid Edge, Onshape, Siemens NX, Creo, Catia, Fusion 360)
Ability to create manufacturing drawing packs (DFM)
Experience within a fabrication or engineering company
A relevant degree, vocational qualification in CAD, or time-served experience in Engineering or Design would be beneficialPackage
