What you’ll be doing We are looking for two Analysts to join our Commodity Supply Chains business unit, supporting our work to address issues such as deforestation and exploitation in soft commodity supply chains. The roles will join a team at the heart of our successful consultancy services, focussed on delivering high quality supply chain analysis, risk advisory and strategy for our roster of world-renowned clients. Tackling deforestation continues to be at the heart of the sustainability agenda, and global action to address the climate and biodiversity crises. Many of the organisations we work with have goals to achieve fully deforestation-free supply chains imminently approaching, making this a particularly exciting time to get involved and contribute towards the protection of forests in countries where commodities such as soy and palm are produced. The role would suit candidates with some prior experience of working in data analysis, communicating data insights and a passion for applying these skills to help guide action in sustainable supply chains. Key Responsibilities To play a key role in one of 3Keel’s supply chain analysis projects/ programmes, enabling clients to derive insights from data gathered from their supply chain to improve sustainability performance. To deliver high quality project work for clients, as part of a consultancy and analysis team, including presenting the outputs of analysis directly to clients where appropriate. To support other work as and when required across the wider business, including innovating new ways to combine or deepen analysis of existing datasets. To support and deliver projects led by senior members of the team, aiming to grow independence and assume leadership, when ready, on smaller projects or client relationships To develop good analysis and communications skills – such that high quality outputs are available to be shared with clients and project teams, ultimately helping to deliver impact. To develop good project management skills, contributing to effective and timely project delivery and management on behalf of 3Keel. Essential requirements Technically-minded with experience of working with data, with proven experience presenting complex analyses and data thoughtfully and effectively. An ability with data – including data collection, cleaning and management – combined with a passion for visualising and sharing data in ways that can help to drive action. Advanced MS Excel skills and/or use of analytical tools (e.g. PowerBi, Data Studio) Organised and systematic approach to work Detail oriented, with a strong focus on quality. Clear and engaging writing style, excellent verbal communication and the ability to present complex information in a client-friendly way Rapid research and distillation of complex topics Effective project management skills. Self-starter and driven. Confidence for external presentations and client relationship management. Adept at supporting colleagues Desirable skills Knowledge of FMCG supply chains, agriculture and other land-based production systems Understanding of the environmental and ethical issues affecting business operations and supply chains Understanding of environmental metrics. Academic background to degree or masters level in a relevant subject area. GIS capabilities. Experience of using automated analytics systems (e.g. Alteryx) Proficiency in advanced programming languages (e.g. R, Python) Relevant foreign language skills (e.g. German, Spanish, Portuguese, Bahasa).
