The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our team of medicines management assistants and medicines management technicians on both our Luton and Bedford sites to deliver clinical excellence. Main duties of the job 1. To provide strategic leadership and manage the team of Medicines Management Pharmacy Technicians (MMPTs) and Medicines Management Assistants (MMAs) at BHFT. 2. To undertake a supervisory role and line management responsibility of all Lead Medicines Management Technicians for the relevant Clinical Service Lines. 3. Become part of the cross-site Clinical Pharmacy Services Management Team. 4. Responsible for the recruitment and selection process of MMPTs and MMAs 5. Work collaboratively with other sections heads within the Pharmacy Department to ensure improved efficiency and workflow. 6. To act as a professional role model for all MMPTs and MMAs, actively demonstrating integrity, ownership and leadership in all aspects of the role 7. To support the Lead and Principal Pharmacy Technicians - Education and Training to implement the Education and Training strategy whilst ensuring Lead Medicines Management Technicians are supported in the delivery of clinical supervision for junior staff. 8. Responsible for updating and upholding the standards outlined in the Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician training programme and other clinical SOPs that are Technician led.
