An exciting opportunity has arisen for an aspiring ward manager to lead Ward 17 at Calderdale Royal Hospital. Ward 17 is a 24 bedded Gastroenterology ward and looks after patients with a range of gastroenterological conditions.
As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for a team of staff, ensuring that patients have an excellent patient experience. You will demonstrate the CHFT behaviours expected of all colleagues and be an excellent role model for your team. You will work a mixture of clinical and admin shifts to keep the base safe and ensure all clinical governance targets and expectations are met.

1. All nursing tasks within the ward environment.
2. Competence in medicines management is essential.
3. Roster creation and management.
4. Recruitment and retention.
5. Setting standards for the working environment.
6. Sickness management.
7. Performance management.
8. Clinical audit and governance.
9. Data reviews.
10. Knowledge portal checks for ward performance.
11. Obtaining patient feedback.
12. Risk management and Datix reporting and investigating.
