Position Summary Pursuit Research Senior Analyst If you are a keen researcher with an eye for detail and a creative edge, then we might have the right job profile for you. At Deloitte a Pursuit Researcher is the backbone of all proposal support and works closely with proposal managers, helping strategize a win by providing the right opportunity intelligence. Work you’ll do The primary job responsibility would be to work alongside a pursuit manager aligned to an RFP/RFI. You will work closely with subject matter experts and would require to create content and/or provide firm related editorial, legal and style guidance to the content with adherence to the highest order of quality and timelines. Excellent written and communication skills that include reading comprehension and the ability to articulate messages in the written and spoken form. Strong proofreading, editing skills, and proficiency in Word, Excel, PPT. Ability to read through data, track the right information, compile in prescribed formats and deliver within the agreed timelines. An eye for detail and ability to analyze textual data, interpret and recognize anomalies. Has exposure to pre-sales, RFP/pursuit environment in any of the Big Four or any other consulting/accounting firms, has industry/sector knowledge, understanding/working knowledge of the structure of Big Four. Work with engagement team in the creation of bios/industry qualifications. Participate in project kick-off meetings and create call summary notes. Perform secondary market research by searching databases and provide information in a systematic and logical manner, experience in analyzed published data and statistics, evaluating past performance and assessing future trends Demonstrate composure while working on tight deadlines and ensure that changes suggested by internal clients are incorporated into documents, and is able to work in a zero tolerance to error and deadline driven environment. Strong interpersonal skills to help coordinate the efforts of numerous people toward delivering a quality work product. Should be able to work in a group or independently. Ability to prioritize tasks, handle projects, client calls and messaging independently and understand complex requests. The team The Pursuit Research team is focused on supporting the pursuit writers across various service lines during the proposal building process. The team works closely with pursuit managers consisting of writers and designers and the lead client service partners associated with an opportunity. The team is actively involved in providing strategic thought through market/industry research, company profiling, news and media analysis, stakeholder analysis, relationship reports and cross-board analysis, vetting client lists, and providing industry qualifications, and analyst quotes. The team also collaborates with the pursuit groups to create the first draft of the RFP. Qualifications Required: 3 to 4 years of secondary research experience with exposure to tools like BoardEx, Hoovers, Factiva etc. Master’s degree in Business/Management (preferred) Excellent, written and verbal skills with good assimilation and presentation skills Knowledge of MS office tools Prioritize and multitask within a fast-paced, challenging, and deadline-driven environment Effective interpersonal skills, with strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Experience working independently on multiple assignments or engagements Preferred: Experience in working on RFP/RFI in an accounting firm/consulting firm Experience in market research/journalism/report writing How You’ll Grow At Deloitte, we’ve invested a great deal to create a rich environment in which our professionals can grow.
