NHS is embarking on a game-changing Cloud Transition Programme (CTP) — migrating 80+ digital services from 1,600 on-prem servers to Azure and Google Cloud. We're on the hunt for a Principal Cloud Infrastructure Architect to help design, implement, and lead this mission-critical programme that supports over 100,000 users across NHS.
As part of a multi award-winning digital health team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shifting from traditional on-prem to a modern cloud-first operating model — think automation, infrastructure-as-code, open-source, and zero-downtime transitions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Designing and owning multi-cloud architecture to support secure, scalable, and high-performing healthcare services.
* Leading technical engagement across internal teams and suppliers.
* Championing DevOps, self-service, and automation approaches.
* Driving cloud governance and working at a national scale with agile delivery teams.
What We’re Looking For:
* Extensive experience in cloud infrastructure architecture in large-scale/public sector environments.
* Deep knowledge of Azure, GCP or AWS platforms, and cloud-native tools.
* Certifications such as Azure/GCP/AWS Architect, TOGAF, ITIL, or CITP.
* A strategic thinker with hands-on skills in DevSecOps, cloud security, and cost optimisation.
* Exceptional communicator with a collaborative, delivery-first mindset.
