The ability to communicate fluently in both English and Welsh is essential for this role.
The advertised salary for this role will be in effect from 1st April.
What it's like to work here
Reporting to the Experience and Visitor Programming Manager, you’ll be working in the Experiences Team as part of the Ynys Môn a Llŷn Portfolio. You'll manage a team of volunteers. We work in partnership, collaborate with communities and put audiences at the heart of what we do.
You’ll be based in one of the offices in Aberdaron. Your role will be focused on the Llŷn peninsula with some occasional support to the countryside sites on Ynys Môn. We work flexibly to operate across a 7-day visitor business. There will be some evening and weekend work for the delivery of programming and Duty Management. Duty management involves being on call to handle incidents across all Llyn sites from 9am to 5pm on your designated days, according to the duty management rota. Additionally, you'll be required to provide wider emergency support as needed.
What you'll be doing
You’ll design and deliver a range of experiences throughout the year at multiple locations across the Llŷn peninsula, including Plas yn Rhiw, Porth y Swnt and coastal car parks. You’ll be confident in targeting different audiences through diverse experiences and producing evaluation reports to inform future plans.
You’ll lead the development of outdoor experiences at our coast and countryside sites. This is an exciting time to join the portfolio. You can really make an impact in this role as we look to grow the existing offer of active outdoor experiences and develop new opportunities to connect more people with these incredible locations. You won’t do this alone, and working in partnership and collaborating with colleagues will be essential to your plans.
You’ll deliver high quality signage and interpretation at outdoor locations and support the implementation of this in the built properties. You’ll support the marketing team and have responsibility for local, onsite promotional activities including the creation of walks leaflets and posters.
