Teacher-Art and Design
Location: INTO London
Salary: £28.32 per hour + London Weighting
Band: D
Contract type: Zero Hours
We are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Art and Design to join our Academic team at INTO London.
We require a qualified teacher with a strong track record of academic and teaching success to deliver Art and Design at this INTO Centre for international students, based in Middlesex Street, London. Previous experience of teaching Art and Design on a level 3 Foundation Course is essential.
The successful applicant will have the ability to teach students from a variety of countries and cultural backgrounds, and with different language levels. This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic educators looking to contribute to INTO’s International Foundation Programme, which prepares international students for University studies. The role will include teaching students to think and make work in experimental ways, challenge their existing perceptions of art and design, embrace exploratory art practice, and take ownership of their own learning and development.
The successful candidate will be Personal Tutor to a group of Art and Design students and will contribute to the design and preparation of module contents and assessments as part of a small team of dedicated Art and Design tutors. You must also provide academic support for international students.
The post holder will ideally have a relevant post-graduate qualification, relevant teaching experience (Foundation Art and Design), and a teaching qualification (or be willing to register for one). They must also be highly enthusiastic and have an imaginative and adaptable approach to the delivery of the curriculum area.
As an exceptional communicator, you will be able to demonstrate high standards of delivery in a consistent manner, be committed to improving achievement across all areas of your subject, and have an understanding of the strategies required to accomplish this. Strong planning and organisational skills are also required.
