JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood is recruiting MCROs on a core basis for Triton FPSO. This mobs from Aberdeen on a 2*3 rotation.

The Triton FPSO is a ship shaped weathervaning moored installation. It has a cargo storage capacity of 620,000 barrels of dewatered crude, and a current daily production of 35,000 BOE.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervisory and Managerial Duties:
* Provide Marine Control Room watch keeping duties, monitoring cargo, ballast, mooring and communication systems and environmental conditions.
* Administrate/ deliver cargo deck maintenance activities.
* Co-ordinate the day to day marine requirements of Triton FPSO.
Basic Purpose of Job:
1. To monitor, control and operate the marine and cargo operations efficiently, ensuring all procedures are adhered to and all defects are reported to the Offshore technical lead. To ensure a pro-active and continuous approach to safety.
Technical Integrity:
* Control, Monitor, receive, store and discharge crude oil cargo and slops, complying with all the working and reporting procedures and relevant standards set down.
* Ensure the quality of the Cargo, minimising the quantity of free water present in the cargo.
* Monitor all traffic in the area in order to mitigate the risks of collision.
* Perform routine and emergency ballasting/de-ballasting.
* Update Maintenance Management System, inputting data and printing job cards as requested.
* Act as area authority for the marine area, that includes cargo deck, fwd emer shelter, Cargo pumproom, CO2 Bottle Room, Lifeboats & Liferafts, Overside work, forecastle, pumproom HVAC & cargo elements of the tanker offload system.
* Plan, monitor and execute all tank entry preparations and inspections.
Innovations/Knowledge Transfer:
* Monitor industry developments which may, increase efficiency, cut cost or time without loss of integrity or safety and present the idea(s) to relevant management..
* Support team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices.
Team Working:
* Work with the deck team and operate inter-departmentally assisting colleagues professionally and informatively.
* Promote team spirit and adopt flexible working attitude to provide support across all departments to ensure team success.
* Create, maintain & enhance effective working relations and identify and minimise interpersonal conflict
* Maintain effective communication with peers and other work groups
Communications/Reporting:
* Report any irregularities and advise (where necessary) to the MSTL in a clear, concise manner and record the relevant information in the marine/official log book.
* Communicate clearly by public address system, for emergency or routine operations and by radio with vessels and personnel.
* When required, communicate clearly and concisely to all regular and emergency helicopter traffic.
* Ensure a comprehensive handover is given at shift or crew change with all pertinent marine information.
Cost Management:
* Contribute to fault finding to prevent and minimise downtime.
* Operate plant in order to maximise efficiency.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
* Be conversant with, contribute to and adhere to the content of vessel safety regulations, procedures and Departmental Instructions relevant to their sphere of operation.
* Control and advise OIM of vessel movements in and out of the 500m zone.
* Maintain control of bulk loading activities from supply vessels providing communications link.
* Conversant with stability requirements for an FPSO completing daily stability checks.
* Continually monitor and adjust ballast to maintain vessel within operational parameters.
* All members of core crew, and their contractors, are responsible for properly segregating the waste they generate and for ensuring all spills are reported to their Supervisors immediately.
Emergency Response Tasks:
* Carry out emergency response duties
* Monitor and respond effectively to situation changes as directed
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Qualifications:
* STCW Certificate of Competency as a Chief Officer (Unlimited tonnage and area), or equivalent marine certification
* Dangerous cargo endorsement or equivalent
* Master Mariner unlimited tonnage and area
Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
* Understanding of vessel Stability to the level of an Unlimited (Tonnage and Area) Chief Officer
* Experience and knowledge of Cargo off-take operations to DP shuttle tankers
* Experience of loading, storing and discharging of crude oil
* Experience of tank cleaning, crude oil washing and tank entry
Experience:
* Relevant offshore oil and gas experience
* Relevant marine tanker background experience
* FPSO experience
* Supervisory experience at Chief Officer Level or above in the Merchant Navy or Line supervisor of marine team on an offshore installation.
Personal Skills:
