Network Planning Lead | Hybrid | Hatfield – two days a week in Hatfield Head Office
Here at Ocado Logistics, it’s our mission to provide an outstanding customer experience for our partners, developing ground-breaking technology, opening multiple sites at an accelerating rate, and engaging in exciting new business partnerships around the world – changing the way the world shops, for good.
We are the beating heart of our UK business and comprise a network of cutting-edge warehouses and offices across the country that ensure that we optimise the experience and use our proprietary technology across the supply chain to deliver an exceptional shopping experience. At the same time, delivering bags of possibilities for our employees and a career that will ensure no two days are ever the same.
About the role
We wouldn’t be able to positively impact the way the world shops without our passionate team members – who keep our business running, our vans delivering, our customers' products picked and packed, and our proprietary technology operating at optimum levels. Both behind the scenes within the warehouses and across the front end of the customer experience, which means we now have an opportunity for a Network Planning Lead to join the team.
As a Network Planning Lead, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of Ocado Logistics' long-term network plans, including the evaluation of new sites and determining the physical throughput capacity of our spokes and Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs). This role will ensure the alignment of demand and capacity across the entire network, proactively identifying gaps and shaping the future structure of Ocado Logistics.
As a Network Planning Lead, you will:
* Build and maintain detailed network capacity models for CFCs and spokes, including physical throughput and catchment areas.
* Analyse demand forecasts and compare them to network capacity, identifying gaps and developing data-driven solutions.
* Develop long-term strategic network plans and business cases for new spokes and CFCs.
* Liaise with retailers to ensure alignment of long-term network strategies.
* Develop and maintain cost-to-serve models to assess network efficiency.
* Provide regular updates and strategic insights to retailers and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
* Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Planning & Analytics, Retailers, Programme Teams, and Finance, to deliver future network strategies.
