The role
London or Manchester based – hybrid working model (2 days office based, 3 days remote)
Competitive inside IR35 day rate
Fantastic opportunity to secure an initial 6 months inside IR35 day rate contract as a Test Assurance Team Lead leading DCC’s engagement with the Programmes, Projects and Service Providers on relevant testing matters. The Test Assurance Team Lead will work for the DCC Test Assurance function and is responsible for overseeing the testing undertaken across the DCC services and supporting users testing against these systems. The Test Assurance Team Lead role can be based in Manchester or London on a hybrid working model.
What will you be doing?
* Act as the primary point of contact with the Programme Directors and Delivery Directors in relation to Test Assurance activities, encompassing System Testing, BAT and OAT.
* Develop the Test Approach and determine test assurance resource requirements in conjunction with the Head of Test Assurance and Test Assurance Services Manager.
* Direct the activities of Test Assurance Resources in respect of the Test Assurance activities for a specific project/programme.
* Act as the primary point of contact with the DCC’s Service Providers on related testing matters.
* Agree how the detailed testing will be undertaken, evidenced and reported by the Service Provider.
* Assure test completion through witnessing tests and inspecting test results.
What are we looking for?
* Strong Test Team lead or Test Manager experience in an Assurance focused role.
* Extensive relevant testing experience, preferably ISQTB certified.
* Possesses an in depth understanding of testing standards and processes and how these apply to a service provider.
* Excellent analytical skills, problem identification and resolution.
* Strong verbal and written communications skills as presentations to senior stakeholders are an integral part of this role.
* Experience in the Smart Metering industry would be highly desirable, experience in a highly regulated environment.
