Its customers include some of the best known pharmaceutical brands in the world. Owing to internal promotion, we are now looking for a Transport Supervisor to join our busy team at the Feltham depot. You will be required to supervise a large team of transport staff within a fast paced transport operation, ensuring staff coverage, customer satisfaction and legal compliance always. Ideally you will have extensive experience of working within a busy transport operation, HGV fleet compliance, Tachograph regulations and working hours knowledge is essential for this role. We are looking for a candidate who has a proactive attitude, who can work collaboratively with all departments across the network. Key responsibilities: To deputise for the Depot Manager in their absence, in all business related transport matters. To oversee the daily workload of the transport operation, ensuring that all delivery schedules are met in line with company and third party delivery specifications and methods. Ensure effective coherence of all transport activities and processes to reduce cost and increase efficiency within all functions. To comply with all Health and safety requirements of the job and to consider the Health and Safety of all others whilst carrying out their jobs. Be responsible for the daily production of an efficient and cost effective route plan. This is to include new patients, out of schedule patients, dose/regimen changes and any other requests in line with the company's core business. Key Skills/Experience/Requirements: CPC Holder - Desirable but not essential. Extensive experience of working within a busy transport operation. HGV fleet compliance, tachograph regulations and working hours knowledge essential. Good understanding of budgets and ability to implement cost reduction strategies. Excellent PC skills including Microsoft office, knowledge of Dynamics 365 or similar Warehouse management system. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Team player mentality with ability to work on own initiative.
