Practice Nurse – Baildon Medical Practice
We are looking to recruit an experienced practice nurse to join our friendly practice. We are a supportive, forward-thinking 6 partner practice providing a high standard of traditional family medicine to a growing list size of 9500 patients.
Baildon Medical Practice is a purpose-built practice located in a quiet rural village within easy commute of Shipley, Bingley, Keighley and North Leeds. We are part of the 'Bingley Bubble' Primary Care Network.
The role includes preventative and treatment clinics.
You should have experience in child and adult immunisations, dressings and wound care, cervical smear taking, and chronic disease management. Experience in family planning and travel immunisation are also desirable. The vacancy is for around 20-25 hours per week. Main duties of the job
Providing general nursing support to the GPs and Nurses at the Practice. Experience of Long Term Condition management would be desirable but not essential.

* Smears
* Child Immunisations
* ECGs
* Removal of Sutures
* New patient medicals
* Urinalysis
* Height, Weight reviews
* Family Planning
* Assist Coil fits and Minor Surgery
* Ear Irrigation
* Injections and Vaccinations
* General Nursing duties as required
* Experience of Long Term Condition Management
* Completion of insurance reports on behalf of the practice
As a member of our team, you will be supported by a full complement of clinical and non-clinical staff. A basic knowledge of SystmOne would be an advantage but full training will be given.

* Hold a current and full driving licence and have access to a car

Qualifications
* Qualified NMC registered Nurse
* Holding or working towards qualifications in family planning, asthma, diabetes, CHD, COPD and cytology.
Experience
* Understanding of role of the practice nurse
* Ability to contribute effectively to team meetings
* Ability to demonstrate application of evidence-based practice.
* Good time management skills, punctual, able to manage and prioritise workload
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise own workload
* Evidence of IT literacy and keyboard skills (typing)
* Experience in primary care nursing or similar
