Duties
As our Commercial Manager, you will oversee all commercial activities across our business operations.
Specifically, you will:
1. Support commercial strategy development and execution across all business areas
2. Manage complex contract negotiations, from bid to completion
3. Develop and maintain key customer and supplier relationships
4. Lead on pricing strategies and proposal development, with a focus on through-life cost optimisation
5. Ensure commercial governance and risk management compliance
6. Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes
7. Support business growth initiatives and strategic planning
8. Champion value-maximising commercial solutions for asset management
9. Support our EDI initiatives through inclusive commercial practices
10. Contribute to CSR activities and sustainable strategies
The ideal candidate will have
Essential:
* Proven commercial management experience in relevant sectors
* Experience working in the public sector
* Experience in bid management and pricing strategies
* Proven commercial awareness and business acumen
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent contract negotiation and stakeholder management skills
* Excellent communication and people skills
Desirable:
* Experience in through-life cost management and asset optimisation
* Experience working in the defence sector
* Strong understanding of government and commercial frameworks
* MCIPS qualification
While a bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field would be advantageous, we also welcome applicants with relevant industry experience.
