Full-time hours (4-day week and every other Saturday morning). Part-time hours also available, offering flexibility. Independent practice with a strong ethos of personal and professional development. Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any conditions. Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies. Perform surgical procedures as required, including spaying, neutering, and emergency surgeries. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive care measures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients treated in the practice. Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure optimal patient care and clinic efficiency. Stay current with veterinary advancements and best practices to enhance clinical knowledge and skills. Requirements Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a current practicing certificate. Strong clinical skillset and experience in surgery and emergency medicine. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with pet owners and team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. Commitment to continual professional development and staying updated with veterinary practices. Compassionate and empathetic approach to animal care and client interaction. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
