Position: Mobile Facilities Electrician (Commercial Electrician)
Van and tools provided, field-based role.
Joining a Property Maintenance team as a Facilities Electrician, you will be a big part of fascinating, complex, varied, and meaningful work.
This role will help deliver hard facilities management services within all properties throughout the permanent estate covering the Midlands area. Work may require periods in accommodation working away from home.
Note: Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence will be required to progress with your application.
Responsibilities:
1. Liaise with the client and specialist subcontractors to establish good relationships with key stakeholders.
2. Manage and co-ordinate facilities management subcontractors where applicable.
3. Review, implement, and complete relevant Health and Safety documentation.
4. Deliver toolbox talks and contractor inductions.
5. Be appointed as an Authorised Person for relevant duties such as LV electrical, mechanical, and working at heights.
6. Carry out small repairs and maintenance across trades (e.g., plumbing, ground maintenance).
7. Manage the issue and completion of pre-planned maintenance tasks to ensure that all planned maintenance is completed in a timely manner and the facility remains statutory compliant and fully operational.
8. Induct, co-ordinate, and supervise subcontractors during the facilities management operations phase to deliver both planned and reactive maintenance.
9. Prepare and review RAMS and ensure they are suitable.
10. Ensure that essential spares and stocks are maintained.
11. Complete all tasks in line with the instruction sets, meeting required SLA's and agreed working procedures.
Who we're looking for:
1. Experience in the FM industry.
2. Electrical City and Guilds 2391 Electrical testing and inspection to 18th Edition.
3. JIB Gold Card.
4. NVQ Level 3 plus City and Guilds 2360 parts 1 and 2.
5. Completed recognised apprenticeship and hold current grade card.
6. IT Literate to complete company documents (e.g., maintenance reports).
7. Provide feedback to company management.
8. Deliver a high standard of work.
9. Good background in servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding.
10. Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation, including SMSTS or similar.
11. Possess a full UK driving licence.
12. Ability to manage diverse work and associated supply chain activities.
