Construction Site Superintendent / Skilled Field Technician
We're Hiring: Construction Site Superintendent / Skilled Field Technician
Join our growing team and take part in a wide variety of commercial construction projects. We're looking for someone who can handle both office coordination and hands-on field work with confidence, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Field Responsibilities (Required):
* Perform light demolition, on-site disposal, and general cleanup.
* Framing (wood and metal, primarily metal).
* Install fiberglass insulation (primarily interior walls).
* Drywall: patching, mudding, and taping.
* Painting: walls, trim, ceilings, and doors.
* Ceiling and tile work: ACT tile cutting, replacement, and installs.
* Flooring: surface prep, LVP installation, cove base, and transitions.
* Carpentry: install trim, doors, hardware, basic cabinetry, countertops, restroom accessories.
* HVAC: replace filters and diffusers.
* General: install TVs, shelving, decorative panels, and other accessories.
Office Responsibilities (Required):
* Perform field take-offs from plans to identify layout and fixture locations.
* Read and understand subcontractor agreements, especially scope, materials, equipment, and payment terms.
* Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and inspections.
* Maintain daily logs of site attendance and activity using Procore.
* Capture and upload progress photos for each phase of construction via Procore.
* Meet with subcontractors to review scopes, estimates, plans, and project progress.
* Meet with clients to review punch list items and generate reports (via CompanyCam or Procore).
* Remain accessible by phone during working hours for urgent coordination or questions.
* Communicate proactively to ensure timely decision-making and clear direction.
Office Bonuses (Not Required, But a Plus):
* Create project schedules based on scope and goals.
* Review architectural plans for accuracy and completeness.
* Review and manage submittals for approval.
* Draft scopes of work broken down by trade.
* Request, collect, and evaluate subcontractor bids.
* Review and process change orders and gather necessary approvals.
* Conduct and document meetings with clients, architects, and engineers (via Procore).
* Review and approve subcontractor invoices based on progress and contract terms.
* Apply for permits and coordinate with local inspectors and town officials.
Qualifications:
* Strong understanding of commercial construction processes.
* Ability to read blueprints and interpret scope documents.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Hands-on experience in multiple trades is a must.
* Must be self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage time effectively.
