Working 8 hours per day around the core hours of 8am and 5pm on a Monday to Friday basis however flexibility required to work outside of these times to suit business needs. We are now recruiting for a Load Planner to join us. Reporting to the Depot Manager, this role will be responsible for route planning and supporting our drivers in the transport of our stock of lagers, ales, and craft beers from our Mansfield depot to our customers. Key Accountabilities: Plan daily deliveries using route planning software (DiPS) to develop and optimise routes, considering fluctuations in trade, available resource, and overall route efficiency. Analyse data to identify trends and key areas for improvement and working to implement process improvement based on your findings and the feedback from others. Track and work to a set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) regarding on-time deliveries, vehicle utilisation, tonnes per hour, average shift length efficiency. Working closely with the others in the transport team to ensure smooth completion of route plans. Ensuring all routes adhere to legal requirements, including driver working hour regulations, and company policies. Collaborating with planners across the network to share best practices and identify development opportunities. Experience and Key Attributes: IT literate with experience using MS Office and SAP preferred, not required. Relevant experience using analytical skills Experience in a logistics network, preferably managing route and/or driver route efficiency Experience using DiPS or alternative planning system preferred however not required. Knowledge of transport compliance, working time directive and both driver and vehicle restrictions.
