Job Summary
This role is for a Collaboration Coordinator based in the London office. The successful candidate will facilitate ongoing collaborations between research institutes in the UK and EU, with a focus on identifying and fostering potential partnerships. A key responsibility will be exploring cutting-edge technology research and recommending high-value opportunities. Additionally, the role involves developing collaboration resource maps across various technology fields to align with business needs.
A strong technical understanding of academic strengths in basic technologies, electronic technologies, and computing technologies is essential. The candidate will act as the main point of contact for university partnerships, working to establish and maintain long-term collaborations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. University Partnerships: Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with universities, supporting project managers, scoping technology collaborations, coordinating events, and managing industry-academia liaison activities.
2. Innovation & Communication Platform: Manage and operate the platform, covering basic technologies, electronic technologies, and computing technologies.
3. Technology Research & Collaboration Mapping: Identify emerging research trends, suggest high-value opportunities, and build resource maps to match business collaboration requirements.
4. Technical Insight: Provide in-depth analysis of the UK’s academic strengths in key technology areas and facilitate new collaboration opportunities.
5. Collaboration Representative: Represent the London Research Centre in identifying cutting-edge technologies and collaboration opportunities across the UK and EU, particularly in AI and related fields.
Required Experience & Skills:
1. Strong academic background in Computer Science or a related field.
2. Experience in Research Project Management and/or Academia-Industry Collaborations.
3. Knowledge of computing technologies and either basic or electronic technologies.
4. Understanding of the UK research ecosystem.
5. Self-motivated, well-organized, and a strong team player.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Ability to travel within Europe and internationally.
8. Mandarin proficiency is strongly preferred.
9. Must have the right to work in the UK without requiring work sponsorship.
