The Role:
Reporting to the Credit Risk and Cash Collections Manager and working on a 12-month fixed term contract basis, you will be responsible for the end-to-end debt recovery process from your own portfolio of our business customers. This will include:
Chasing payment arrears via phone, email and letter
Query and dispute resolution
Negotiating payment terms
Bill and statement reconciliation
Investigate unallocated payments
Encouraging customers to switch to direct debit terms
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
You will have a proven track record of success in credit control or debt collection from a portfolio of customers, ideally within a utility company environment, including an understanding of the associated legal processes.
The ability to reconcile accounts and allocate payments is also key.
You will be able to communicate confidently and professionally with the ability to negotiate and work under pressure.
Previous experience with CRM systems would also be a bonus!
