We're Hiring: Senior Estimator – Civil Engineering & Infrastructure

Morson Talent is proud to be supporting a major infrastructure contractor in the search for a highly capable Senior Estimator to join their expanding Work Winning team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute and technically skilled Estimator to lead on pricing large-scale civil engineering and infrastructure tenders across the UK. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop competitive, accurate, and strategic cost proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed and accurate pricing for tenders and early contractor involvement (ECI) projects
Collaborate with Bid Managers, Planners, Procurement, and Technical Services to ensure best-value pricing strategies
Produce cost estimates across labour, plant, materials, subcontractors, preliminaries, and temporary works
Support risk analysis and advise on value engineering and alternative design options
Prepare and present pricing at internal settlement meetings
Coordinate final submission pricing documentation and respond to client clarifications
Lead post-tender reviews and contribute to continual improvement in estimating processes
Provide guidance and mentorship to Assistant Estimators
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in estimating within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Strong technical understanding of construction methods and commercial principles
Familiarity with various forms of contract and procurement legislation
Proficient in estimating software and financial analysis tools
Highly organised with excellent communication and collaboration skills
Committed to safe working, innovation, and sustainable project delivery
