As the Senior Exhibition Stand Builder reporting to the Site Services Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the operational and logistical aspects of exhibitions and events. Working closely with the Site Services Manager you will contribute to the successful execution of all on-site activities, ensuring the smooth setup, operation, and breakdown of event spaces. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will be essential in delivering high-quality service and maintaining a safe and functional environment for exhibitors, clients, and attendees We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing, constructing, and installing the new Aluvision system for high-profile events and tradeshows at Cranmore Park. Your expertise will ensure that every project is completed to the highest standards. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a background in exhibition stand construction or a related field, we want to hear from you Key responsibilities: Work to tight deadlines to construct the show builds in line with tailored drawings, and to use a myriad of equipment to facilitate the construction and breakdown phase which may include the use of the forklift. Perform basic electrical tasks including changing lamps, be willing to undertake training to carry out other repair work for switches, outlets, plugs, cables, appliances, and lighting systems in accordance with your training. Identify and perform basic repairs and maintenance of plumbing leaks or breaks, this may include opening up clogged lines and drains, maintaining drinking fountains, replacing seals and repairs and maintenance of other minor parts. Carry out daily checks of plant equipment, ensuring that both buildings are operating efficiently and effectively, identifying faults and reporting concerns immediately. Carry out routine maintenance on all items of plant and equipment that is not included in a service agreement or maintenance contract in a timely manner Oversee contracted works ensuring that all engineers and workmen are working in accordance with procedures and in line with their RAMS. Ensure contractors’ comply with service level agreements and where required to work with them to undertake maintenance and reports of plant equipment. Performs basic carpentry repair of structures such as partitions, walls, doors, fences, window frames, office furniture, roofs, and shelves. Ensure the building is maintained to high standard of redecoration and paint and repair walls and surfaces. Support with office moves and replace and reorganise furniture, replace flooring and prepare and paint walls. Maintains grounds to ensure they are always clean, safe, and in an orderly manner. This may include gardening tasks such as mowing, trimming, and weeding, minor pest management, replacing plants and clearing debris from grounds and pathways. This may also include carrying out repairs to sidewalks, pavers, ramps, and slabs. To monitor the Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and ensure correct air quality and temperatures in all areas, recording results as appropriate. Maintain a detailed and accurate log of all reactive maintenance, carry out the works in a timely manner and in accordance with agreed response times and maintain accurate records. Manage stock and supplies of most frequently used equipment and consumables. Also to order parts, specialist components, equipment and fixtures and fittings as appropriate necessary for individual tasks. Promote and maintain energy efficiency and environmental awareness by operating the systems in an economic manner, ensuring appropriate temperatures, humidity and lighting levels are maintained. Exercise all due care in respect of Health and Safety at Work and adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures. This includes compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, and all associated Regulations and HSE Guidance, and also risk assessments and safe systems of work. Carry out regular checks to ensure the standard of cleanliness of the plant rooms/equipment is maintained to a high standard as well as maintaining a clean and safe work environment including all stores rooms and plant rooms, and keeping accurate inventory records.
