Our client, a well-established food production business, is seeking a dedicated EHS Manager to lead their safety and sustainability initiatives at their Holme-on-Spalding-Moore site. About the Role: As the EHS Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in fostering a strong safety culture across a sizeable manufacturing site with a workforce of approximately 70-80 people. The site, known for its heritage and scale, provides a unique mix of challenges and opportunities in ensuring compliance, enhancing safety practices, and driving environmental improvements. This is a hands-on role requiring regular engagement on the factory floor, where you’ll collaborate closely with production teams to identify risks, develop solutions, and champion best practices. You’ll be instrumental in delivering training, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to legislative and company standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all EHS initiatives across the site. Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental and safety legislation. Conduct risk assessments and drive continuous improvement in health and safety practices. Develop and deliver training programs for staff at all levels. Collaborate with production teams to ensure safety is embedded into everyday operations. Act as the site lead for audits, inspections, and investigations. Identify opportunities for sustainability and environmental improvement. About You: To excel in this role, you’ll need: Proven experience in an EHS role, ideally within food manufacturing or a similar fast-paced environment. Strong working knowledge of health and safety legislation and environmental regulations. A hands-on approach, with the ability to engage and influence teams on the ground. Experience of working in older or complex factory environments is highly advantageous. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively across all levels of the business.
