Time Out is the global media powerhouse for all things cultural – the ultimate guide to eating, drinking, exploring, and everything in between. We're looking for a DevOps engineer who's as passionate about building bulletproof pipelines as they are about finding the perfect hidden bar.

We are seeking a talented Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team and take ownership of building and maintaining our infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our platform, supporting both our global city guides ) and our food hall market business.
What you'll be doing:
1. Wrangle the power of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to build, deploy, and maintain our critical applications and infrastructure.
2. Automate everything under the sun! You'll be crafting pipelines and scripts to streamline our development and deployment processes.
3. Collaborate with our development and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery and a flawless user experience.
4. Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot any issues that might arise – you're our digital firefighter!
5. Stay on top of the latest trends in cloud technologies and keep our infrastructure future-proof.
6. Join our on-call rotation and be the hero of the night when unexpected issues arise – because the party never stops!
What you'll bring to the party:
The perfect candidate does not exist. If you have experience in some of these requirements and are motivated to learn the rest please consider applying, we would love to support a continuous learning mentality.
7. At least two years' experience as a DevOps engineer (or similar role).
8. An in-depth understanding of GCP services like Cloud Build, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Monitoring or AWS services such as Code Build, CloudWatch and AutoScaling Groups.
9. Proficiency in AWS services, with hands-on experience using CloudFormation.
10. Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Ansible is a big plus.
11. A love for scripting languages like Python or Bash
12. Work comfortably with Docker to manage containerised applications and environments.
13. Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to keep our deployments running smoothly.
14. Create Dashboards and set alerts with APM tools such as New Relic.
15. The ability to think critically, solve problems creatively, and work independently.
16. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to bridge the gap between development and operations.
17. A genuine passion for Time Out's mission and a desire to make our platform the go-to resource for all things cultural.
