Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Periodontist to join our dental practice in Brentwood, United Kingdom. As a vital member of our team, you will provide specialised periodontal care to our patients, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gum diseases.
* Conduct comprehensive periodontal examinations and develop tailored treatment plans
* Perform a wide range of periodontal procedures, including scaling and root planing, periodontal surgery, and dental implant placement
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of periodontal health
* Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care
* Stay abreast of the latest advancements in periodontal treatments and technologies
* Maintain detailed patient records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
* Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, fostering excellent team dynamics
* Participate in practice development initiatives and patient education programmes
Qualifications
* Specialist qualification in Periodontology or extensive experience as a dentist with a special interest in Periodontics
* Valid registration with the General Dental Council (GDC)
* Proven experience in delivering high-quality periodontal treatments
* In-depth knowledge of preventative dental health and gum disease management
* Strong diagnostic skills and ability to develop comprehensive treatment plans
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex procedures to patients in a clear and empathetic manner
* Commitment to continuing professional development and staying current with the latest periodontal techniques
* Ability to work effectively with dental nurses and other members of the dental team
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care
* Proficiency in using dental practice management software and digital imaging technologies
