Working within the specialist Financial Lines Division, you’ll be underwriting new business enquiries from a wide variety of brokers throughout the UK, using your sound technical and negotiation skills to secure profitable business.
Specific duties will include:
1. Underwriting a variety of commercial cases across various product lines.
2. Collaborating with the Claims team.
3. Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with the Technical department and the wider business.
4. Getting involved in interesting ad hoc projects.
Much of the business is Professional Indemnity themed, and so you must have strong experience within the PI arena. Candidates from a variety of specialisms (such as the Professions, Miscellaneous, Tech, Life Sciences etc.) will be considered. As you’ll be regularly dealing with brokers, you’ll have excellent communication skills, together with a good track record of maintaining and developing relationships.
