At Leader Education, we are seeking a SEND Support Assistant to support children within a SEND school who cater for both primary and secondary students. This school is based in Amble, Northumberland. The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have had previous experience working with young people who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), as well as a genuine interest and commitment to helping them reach their full potential.
The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30 until 15:30.

The successful Candidate will:
* Need an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one
* Ideally have previous experience with autism, learning difficulties, or complex needs
* Support the development of social and emotional skills
* Have a passion for teaching and learning with the ability to make learning enjoyable and fun
* Assist with personal care if needed
* Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative working
