About the Role:
We are seeking a Department Leader to join a thriving special school in Cambridgeshire. This is a key leadership role, where you will:
✔ Lead a designated department/learning pathway, driving high-quality teaching and learning.
✔ Be a core member of the senior leadership team, contributing to the formulation and implementation of school policies.
✔ Manage staff and resources to achieve the academy’s aims and objectives.
✔ Develop strong links with parents and the wider community, promoting engagement and collaboration.
✔ Take responsibility for specific areas of the Academy Plan and lead at least one subject development area.
✔ Provide line management within a learning pathway across the school.
✔ Teach for 3.5 days per week, balancing leadership responsibilities with direct impact in the classroom.
