Role responsibilities
To lead cross-industry enhancement strategies and be accountable for the delivery of business case benefits across the portfolio of sponsored infrastructure programmes in Wales & Borders. The Senior Responsible Owner for the infrastructure enhancement pipeline, taking projects from development into delivery, managing funder / client requirements. Accountable for the delivery of the Commercial Programmes portfolio of projects designed to increase TfW\\\'s ability to grow revenue.
* Be accountable for the delivery of business case benefits across the portfolio of sponsored infrastructure projects and programmes, acting as a point of escalation, to ensure they meet Client requirements with minimal disruption to business-as-usual operations whilst protecting TfW interests and leading the engagement with frontline teams to ensure effective entry into service of scheme outputs.
* Lead the development and delivery of joint industry enhancement strategies by working across TfW and Network Rail to ensure collaboration, acting as a bridge over the interfaces between the strategy, development, and sponsorship teams within each organisation.
* The Senior Responsible Owner and strategic guiding mind for the infrastructure enhancement pipeline, for both TfW and Network Rail, taking projects from development into delivery, overseeing the capture of client requirements such as purpose, outcome and benefits.
* Be accountable to the CCO for the successful delivery of a portfolio of commercial and contractual/regulatory schemes, projects and programmes by setting clear programme strategies and ensuring appropriate resourcing and governance to ensure projects deliver against the Commercial Directorate\\\'s strategic objectives.
Who we\\\'re looking for
* Demonstrable leadership skills with experience of setting strategic direction and managing performance to meet business requirements.
* Demonstrable experience of directing the delivery of a portfolio of multiple high value projects and programmes.
* Expert knowledge of programme and project management methodologies including MSP and PRINCE 2.
* Expertise in sponsoring and/or delivering programmes in the rail and/or bus sector and working across multiple teams and organisations to achieve effective outcomes.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
