JOB DESCRIPTION
About the role
We have a new opportunity for a Governance Manager to join our small and expert team on a permanent basis at our new London office.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Governance & Legal Services, Head of Governance and the Senior Governance Manager in a wide ranging and prominent role. You will also help to ensure that the group has in place governance and regulatory compliance arrangements to support the effective direction and control of the organisation.
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience of acting in a senior governance role in a medium-sized or large organisation.
* Experience of taking clear and concise minutes of Board/Committee meetings and supporting the full cycle of Committee business.
* Experience of providing complex, technical governance and regulatory advice to Board members and Executives.
* Proven experience of managing or supporting reviews of governance arrangements, policies, procedures, and documentation.
* Proven experience of managing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including registers and records, and compiling and submitting regulatory returns.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Excellent oral and writing skills.
* Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
Essential Qualifications:
* Educated to degree level.
Desirable:
* Chartered Secretary (Associate or Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute).
* Company secretarial / governance experience with a medium or large social housing provider.
