Job Advert: Environmental, Health and Safety Associate (EHS Associate)

Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs and policies.
* Conduct inspections, tests, and audits to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and internal procedures.
* Assist in training employees on EHS policies, guidelines, and regulations.
* Maintain and update EHS records as per established standards.
* Contribute to the development of EHS policies and support corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability initiatives.
* Collaborate with internal and external specialists on incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 standards and applicable local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
* Stay informed on the latest H&S regulations to provide guidance on site-level assessments, projects, and problem-solving.
Skills and Attributes:
* Process Management: Ability to create, document, and enhance business processes.
* Attention to Detail: High accuracy in handling detailed information and EHS metrics.
* Effective Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively train and collaborate with employees.
* Prioritization and Self-Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions on time allocation.
* EHS Compliance: Working knowledge of PPE, COSHH, Risk Assessments, Incident Management, and other safety regulations.
* Emergency Preparedness: Ability to prepare processes for emergency situations and conduct risk assessments.
* Problem-solving: Analytical thinker with a strong ability to identify root causes and suggest effective control measures.
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
* Member of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health).
* Proven experience in an EHS role.
* High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic documentation.
