Who we are
Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity. Our aim is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families, we campaign for the rights of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research.
What you’ll do
1. Lead and manage high-quality, therapeutic registered day services and community supports for people with dementia and their families.
2. Ensure services meet Alzheimer Scotland’s vision for unique therapeutic, highly person-centred support.
3. Manage day-to-day operations of the services and promote them with local stakeholders.
4. Oversee referral and assessment processes.
5. Collaborate with the Head of Services to ensure safe practice and service delivery.
6. Participate in internal audits and Care Inspectorate inspections.
7. Provide strong line management and leadership to your team, setting clear objectives and outcomes.
What you’ll have
1. Experience managing a team in a social care or health setting.
2. Knowledge of Health and Social Care Standards and SSSC codes of practice.
3. Understanding of dementia and experience supporting people living with dementia.
4. A recognised professional qualification in health, social work or related field, to SCQF Level 7 (SVQ 3).
