The Role
We are looking for an experienced Content Strategist to join our client’s dynamic integrated marketing agency. This is a pivotal role, heading up a newly formed client group, working closely with the Client Partner and supporting the agency Creative Director.
As the Content Strategist, you will:
1. Develop and oversee content strategies tailored to client objectives, ensuring they are multi-channel, innovative, and ROI-focused.
2. Lead content ideation to produce concepts and products that meet audience needs and align with brand identity and values.
3. Act as magazine editor where the magazine is one of the client products, including sourcing and managing contributors.
4. Serve as the primary content strategy advisor to clients, ensuring alignment with their goals and industry trends.
5. Identify opportunities to expand and diversify client accounts, proactively pitching new ideas and solutions to drive business growth.
6. Stay ahead of digital trends to drive cutting-edge content strategies that position the agency as a thought leader.
7. Analyse content performance metrics to provide actionable insights for optimisation and future strategies.
8. Manage and mentor a small but talented team of content creators, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
9. Ensure delivery of content projects to deadline within scope, budget, and client expectations.
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines creativity with strategic thinking and has a proven track record in content strategy. The ideal candidate will have:
1. Extensive experience in content strategy and editorial leadership, within an agency setting.
2. A strong understanding of integrated marketing and the role of content across various channels, including social media, email, web, and print.
3. Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.
4. Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
5. Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to inform strategy and demonstrate success.
6. A proactive and collaborative mindset, with a passion for delivering outstanding results.
