We have an exciting 0.6wte vacancy for an experienced 8a Clinical or Counselling Practitioner Psychologist to join our friendly Community Mental Health team at Warstock lane to work with adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
You will be part of a small psychology team which includes staff ranging from very junior up to 8b level and who are welcoming, committed and supportive. You will be able to apply your full range of psychological skills and knowledge to direct clinical work as well as thorough consultation, training, supervision, service development, research and leadership opportunities.
Warstock Lane is one of three CMHTs that form the South hub within Birmingham and as part of integrated Community Care and recovery services (ICCR) across Birmingham we are also well connected with other CMHTs.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and skilled clinician who can work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to provide a range of clinical services. The individual will have excellent opportunities to gain experience of multi-level and integrated service provision and to utilise and develop skills of complex case assessment, formulation and application of evidence based psychological interventions, both individual and in groups. You should have experience of working with service users with complex mental health and behavioural needs; additionally to be familiar with the needs of a diverse BAME community and working in areas of high socioeconomic deprivation.
We have an established track record in service innovation supporting a diverse range of clinical and academic interest, with time for research and teaching related activities built into many of our psychological professions job plans.
