About the role The 3rd line Infrastructure Analyst will ensure all technical services support the delivery of an excellent experience for both staff and students, working closely with other areas within the Directorate, as well as external vendors. The post holder will support the development of technical strategic alignment and the design, implementation and ongoing maintenance and monitoring of the University infrastructure both on premise and in the cloud, ensuring the smooth running of all ICT Infrastructure and contribute to ongoing continual service improvement The role will act as a digital ambassador for the organisation, supporting the department and our stakeholders with high quality technical support and guidance. The Digital & IT department plays a crucial role in delivering and managing core applications, infrastructure, and service delivery support to all our customers and stakeholders. We are guided by our Digital Strategy to ensure the best possible digital environment for our staff and students. The team is responsible for the smooth running of all IT Infrastructure and services that contributes to ongoing continual service improvement. About you The post holder is expected to have an excellent understanding across a broad range of IT disciplines, although likely to specialise in one or more areas of expertise such as, but not limited to, cloud server and storage, cyber security, networking & telephony, emerging cloud and AI solutions, workstations, applications, and audio visual. Providing an excellent experience for both staff and students the role holder will work closely with the Service Management and other specific Digital & IT service areas in a 3rd line support capacity. The role holder will also contribute to the design, implementation and ongoing maintenance and monitoring of the University IT Infrastructure both on premise and in the cloud.
